Over the coming days and weeks we will be expanding the ranks of Shadow Government contributors. Today, we are proud to introduce the first of these, Dan Blumenthal.
Dan is a veteran China hand and Asia expert, whose current roles include being a commissioner (and former vice-chairman) of the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission, and a Resident Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. He also codirects AEI's "Tocqueville on China" Project, exploring various aspects of civil society amid China's ongoing evolutions. Dan served at the Pentagon from 2002-2004, including as senior director for China, Taiwan, and Mongolia in the Secretary of Defense's Office of International Security Affairs. His expertise includes many aspects of the Middle Kingdom and points beyond, and we are excited to have him on board.
Shadow Government is a blog about U.S. foreign policy under the Obama administration, written by experienced policy makers from the loyal opposition and curated by Peter D. Feaver and William Inboden.
